Pancake Breakfast draws 700 guests!

Published July 18, 2017 17:34

We are so excited that our second Pancake Breakfast held during Stampede week, saw over 700 guests!!  From 7-11am guests visited our Club for pancakes, sausages, juice, coffee and music.  Everyone had a great time in the sunshine and filling out ballots for our prizes and fundraising draw. Guests who brought their own plate and cutlery were eligible for one of two Canada 150 gift baskets.  Our fun kids basket included outdoor water games and Canada themed books and the adult basket included a Canadian theme decorative pillow, local toffee treats and a Canadian trivia book.

Early in the morning, Blake Richards, MP for Banff-Airdrie stopped by to tour our space and flip a pancake. Blake was interested to hear about our Mayor's Youth Council and some of the projects they have worked on.

A HUGE thank you to our community partners who helped us pull this event off!  Diamond Willow volunteers worked manning the hot grill, McDonald's Cochrane provided lots of hot, fresh coffee and Mark's No Frills donated fluffy buttermilk pancake mix, sausages, juice and syrup.  We also loved having the Cochrane Now Radio Community Cruiser love on location!

We enjoyed having so many Cochrane residents stop by our Club and enjoy breakfast with us.  Thank you for your visit and generous donations.  Until next year!
