Youth Outreach

Are you looking for someone to help you navigate some of the challenges that come with transitioning to adulthood?

Are you struggling with anything at home,school or in your relationships and need advice or support on what to do next?

Our Youth Outreach Worker, Jodi, is committed to helping youth succeed and move forward with anything that life throws their way.

The goal of our Youth Outreach Program is to connect with youth (aged 12-22) that are facing any of the vast arrays of challenges that teens and young adults deal with today, but don’t necessarily have a healthy or extended support system to help navigate these challenges.

Many youth in this community do not have an adult in their life that can be considered a positive friend or mentor. Without this meaningful adult connection, many youth don’t know who to turn to for help when life gets overwhelming. Community referrals are essential to how we provide this mentorship and create a system of support around any youth that doesn’t currently have access to someone who can encourage, support, and motivate them outside of the classroom.

The types of services that the Youth Outreach Program offer but are not limited to;

In-school support/tutoring

Job readiness support including resume coaching and interview prep

Connecting to local supports and services

Accessing social outlets and recreation opportunities

Referrals to this program can be made by completing the referral form or by calling, texting or emailing Jodi's confidential and direct line at 403-618-3149, jhensbergen@bgccochrane.ca

As the community grows so does the demand for more Boys and Girls Club Resources.  Check out our Be Involved page to see how you can make a difference.
