Dare to Dream Mentorship & Lead UP 2.0 Aim to Empower Cochrane's Youth for a Brighter Future

In an endeavor to create a brighter and more promising future for the youth in Cochrane and its surrounding area, BGC Cochrane & Area is proud to announce the launch of two groundbreaking programs: Dare to Dream Mentorship and Lead UP 2.0. These innovative initiatives are set to inspire, empower, and uplift young individuals, providing them with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive in today's world.
Dare to Dream
Dare to Dream Mentorship is a dynamic group youth mentorship program, where both mentors and mentees engage in various activities, develop essential skills, and build strong bonds over the course of a year. BGC Cochrane & Area will be there every step of the way, providing ongoing support and guidance throughout this transformative journey.
Lead UP 2.0
Lead Up 2.0 is a national program designed to empower youth aged 12-30 with impactful opportunities to engage in community service initiatives. Through the Lead UP 2.0 program, young individuals have the chance to volunteer in their local communities, fostering the development of essential life and work skills, self-confidence, self-efficacy, and leadership abilities. Notably, the program seeks to include under-represented youth, encouraging their meaningful involvement in service activities while providing them the autonomy to shape the program's direction.
For the release of Dare to Dream Mentorship and Lead UP 2.0, BGC Cochrane & Area is hosting an information session on July 20th, 2023. The event will take place at 111 5th Ave W, Cochrane, AB, from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. All parents, guardians, youth, and community members are invited to attend! The Information Session promises to be a fun and informative gathering, complete with snacks, drinks, door prizes, and more! Attendees will have the opportunity to learn in detail and ask questions about both programs.
