Teen Trips


  • Calling all youth ages 13-17, we want to add adventure to your summer FOR ONLY $5! Join our Youth Workers for thrilling day trips to some of the hot spots in Calgary such as Stampede, Folk Festival, Bowness Park, and National Music Centre! The thrill doesn’t end there, explore the outdoors with us by registering for hiking in Kananaskis, visiting Canmore, Cave & Basin in Banff, as well as delve into Alberta’s history with a trip to Drumheller!

Limited spots are available, and EACH TRIP COSTS ONLY $5! (Bringing spending money is optional) Transportation and supervision by our fun and responsible Youth Workers is provided for all day trips. C-Train fare or pass may be required on some of the trips, more information will come.


July 4- Hike in Kananaskis: Dive feet first into the majestic Powder Face hiking trail in Kananaskis! Bring your favorite hiking boots, a filling lunch, and be prepared to spend the entire day seeing the wonderful creation of mother nature. Transportation is included.

July 6- Kensington Walk: Follow us to Calgary's thriving community of Kensington where we will partake in seeing the various shops, and taking your board game skills to the next level at The Hexagon Board Game Cafe. Youth will need shades, sunscreen, water, lunch, and optional spending money.

July 9- Bowness Park: Known for its weekend retreats, Bowness Park is well spent paddle boarding and canoeing which will be lead by our youth workers. Bring your sturdy shoes, sunscreen/bug spray, water, and lunch for a day out at the park. 

July 10- Stampede: Yee Haw Folks! Bring your essentials such as sunscreen, hats/shades, water, sturdy walking shoes to the greatest outdoor (and adrenaline Junkie) show on earth! The cost of the trip covers admission, as youth are encouraged to bring spending money to purchase ride tickets if they please.

July 17- Banff and Canmore: There is beauty in Canada's National Parks, and we want to explore it! Walking along the river, Cave and Basin National Historic Site, and ice-cream licking are a few of the adventures that will take place! Bring a hat, water, lunch, optional swimsuit and optional spending money.

July 20- Drumheller: DinoSOAR with us! Youth will be able to engage in seeing all that Drumheller has to offer. Pack your summer essentials such as a hat/shades, sunscreen or bug spray, water and lunch, as well as optional spending money. 

July 25- National Music Centre: Music makes the world go round, and with stunning architecture, The National Music Centre is a must see! Exploring the various in-house exhibits, youth are guaranteed a fun-filled music day. We ask that youth bring sturdy walking shoes, water, lunch, and optional spending money.

July 27- Folk Fest: The music entertainment continues with a trip to Folk Fest where youth will indulge in the outdoor music festival in the heart of Calgary. The necessities that are required are sturdy walking shoes, lunch and water, sunscreen/bug spray, hats/shades, and optional spending money.

August 1- Ghost Lake: Adventure is calling at Ghost Lake as our fun youth workers will lead a trip to the beautiful lake with an even better view! We ask that all youth bring hat/shades, water and lunch, sunscreen/bug spray, and a bathing suit as we will partake in water activities.

We offer financial assistance and internal subsidy through application for families who need them.

Summer Drop-in

Watch for extended drop-in hours in our main space where youth can hang out, play pool, use music instruments, play XBox and VR and enjoy great snacks.  All drop-in hours are supervised by two Youth Workers, however this is not a childcare program, teens are free to come and go as they like.

Leaders in Training (LIT) 

Are you passionate about making a difference? Is being involved in your community important to you? Then the Leaders In Training program is for you! This training will prepare youths aged 13-17 to be a leader and participate in all Junior Summer Camp weeks! First Aid Certification is included. The training will happen on JULY 16-20, 2018!
