The Leaders in Training program offers youth the chance to support kids in a safe, healthy environment while building leadership and organizational skills. The certification offered to the volunteers counts towards community volunteer hours along with adding to a youth’s resume.
This program is perfect for teens that already provide childcare and are looking for some experience to broaden their network and skill set. Volunteers will work with the Out of School Care program following their first week of training. They will then shadow a certified leader and support them through organizing activities among other tasks. Volunteers will sign up for a minimum of 40 hours over the summer to volunteer and help out with our Out of School Care programs. they will be taught and certified in CPR Training, Boundaries Training and Difficult Conversations Training among others.
A fee of $225 will be asked upon being accepted to cover the costs of outings, entries and tickets for various trips.
