Dare to Dream
Discover the power of mentorship with Dare to Dream, our dynamic group youth mentorship program. In our program, both mentors and mentees enter the mentoring relationship voluntarily, fostering a genuine connection built on trust and support.
Over the course of one full year, you will spend quality time with your mentee in a group setting, engaging in new activities, developing skills, and nurturing the mentoring bond. BGC Cochrane & Area will be there every step of the way, providing ongoing support and guidance.
Mentors
Join the BGC Cochrane & Area Youth Mentorship Group Program and leave a lasting impact on the lives of youth in Cochrane and the surrounding areas. As a mentor, you have the opportunity to share your wisdom and life experiences, making a profound difference in the lives of young individuals. Inspire the next generation, foster personal growth, boost self-esteem, and forge lasting connections within our community.

Group Volunteer Mentors will be individuals aged 18+ living in Cochrane and surrounding area looking to become positive role models for youth ages 10 -17.

As a mentor, you will engage youth in activities, talk & spend time with them, get to know them, and set realistic goals & expectations in a group setting.
​
Group meetings will occur at BGCCA (111 5th Avenue Cochrane), while activities will be held at different locations around Cochrane.
​
Training will begin in late July/ August. When the program begins in September, visits will occur 1-2 times per week for 2 hours each.
** Please note that although this program will be initiated September 2023, we will be continually accepting applications through out the year for both mentors and mentees.
Mentees
Are you a young person in Cochrane with dreams and ambitions? Imagine having someone in your corner who believes in your potential, supports your self-confidence, and helps you uncover new opportunities. Through Dare to Dream, you'll be matched with a caring and dedicated mentor who will walk alongside you on this exciting path of personal development along side other like minded individuals in a group setting.

Together with your mentor, you'll embark on a journey of discovery, trying out new activities, building valuable skills, and expanding your horizons. BGC Cochrane & Area will be there every step of the way, providing support and guidance for up to one full year. At the end of this transformative experience, a closing ceremony will celebrate your growth and achievements.

Youth residing in Cochrane & surrounding area ages 10-17
