BGCCA Out of School Care (OSC) programs provide quality, affordable care in a safe and nurturing environment for children in kindergarden to grade 6 attending all schools in the Cochrane area. OSC Programs run yearly during the school year from September to June at our 5th Avenue and Glenbow Club Locations.

We use a strengths based approach to seek out children's abilities, resources, and gifts to support growth through opportunities in developing socially, physically, intellectually, creatively and emotionally. Professional, qualified staff facilitate a culture of fun, acceptance and positive self-regard and love to play too!!

5th Avenue CLub
Located across from CIBC on 5th Avenue, our 5th Avenue Club houses our Grade K-6 OSC Programs from schools across Cochrane and Summer Camps in July and August. OSC Programming is run on both levels of the Club with walkout access to the Lion's Club Rodeo Grounds, so our kids get lots of outdoor time (when the weather permits, of course!). We offer
before care, kindercare, and after care from this location for all schools with the exception of some of our programs attending Glenbow school, which are run from our Glenbow location (see below). Glenbow school grades 2-6 aftercare attend our 5th Ave location.
Glenbow Club
Located beside Glenbow School (on the south end) on Glenpatrick Drive, our Glenbow Club provides OSC for children from Glenbow school only. This includes Glenbow before care, Glenbow Kindercare and aftercare for grades K and 1. (After care for Glenbow grades 2-6 children are provided at our 5th Ave location).

Memberships are required for BGCCA OSC programs and are valid between September 1 – August 31 each year. Membership does not guarantee registration, as OSC registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. All online registration forms must be completed, and the required paperwork and deposit must be provided BGCCA prior to the first day of participation in all of our programs.

Membership cost $10 per child OR $25 family (3 or more members)

**Certain activities require additional waivers (i.e. off-site trips, retreats etc.). Any additional waivers must be completed fully, signed and returned to the BGCCA by the first day of the activity. Members will not be able to participate if these waivers are not received by BGCCA.

Resources

We recognize that our work, and the works of our clubs, takes place on traditional indigenous territories in Canada.

In the spirit of our efforts to promote reconciliation, BGC Cochrane and area acknowledges the traditional territories and oral practices of the Blackfoot (Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai), the Tsuut’ina (Sarcee), the Stoney Nakoda First Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.

Today, Canada is home to many Indigenous peoples and we are grateful to have the opportunity to meet and work on this territory.
